Explore the Museum
Discover the water story of Edessa as basic element of
life, power, destruction & energy supply as well as the 5 human senses
experience in water at the Edessa Open Air Water Museum.
Explore the unique Aquarium & Reptile House, the
exciting new Mill of Water interactive workshop, discover the water
degustation, taste & learn the ancient secret of the Med diet balance,
prepare to get wet under the waterfalls of Edessa, watch the water mill
engines come to life every weekend, take part in hands-on family
activities, or relax in Water Summer Cinema, or in Waterfalls Café,
complete with comfy sofas and a play table for children.
The Museum garden of herbs is open
throughout the year for visitors to explore. It features a small water
feature, a garden of various species of herbs & spices, which is part of
Mill of Flavors & Mill of Water & 5 Human Senses. The garden is the
perfect spot for smelling when visiting and if you come in the spring
you might be able to see the cherry blossom and the bees in action! The
garden is carefully looked after by a dedicated team of volunteers – if

The Museum admission fee does not apply to those
visiting Waterfalls café and the Museum shop.
Waterfalls café is
situated at the entrance of the Museum and is open every day from 08am –
21pm. Customers can choose from a selection of hot and cold drinks and a
range of snacks throughout the day. A fun and relaxed atmosphere, it is
perfect for meeting up with friends, enjoying a coffee and refuelling
before exploring the Museum. Waterfalls Café is run by Touristiki SA.
The museum shop temporary
operates inside the Tourist Info Center and stocks an ample range of
books and souvenirs whether you have a specialist interest in the
museums exhibitions, history and culture, or just want to treat yourself
or a loved one to a beautiful gift we are sure to have a product to
suit. The shop is open every day from 10am – 16pm.
