| The “Endiaitima Environmental consultants Ltd” is a private consulting firm, specialised in wetland management and restoration issues. Its main expertise concerns planning and implementation of habitat restoration and monitoring measures and has been involved in a series of wetland restoration projects in Greece. It also provides consulting in the fields of nature information and interpretation and public awareness campaigns. Scientific Staff of the firm has carried out the ornithological assessment and the management prescriptions for priority bird species and associated habitats assessment of the Agras Management Plan, developed during the previous Life project. The scientific staff of the firm works in close collaboration with Greek universities (Univ. of Crete, Univ. of Athens), research institutes (Forest Research Institute of Thessaloniki, F.R.I. of Athens, Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania), and NGOs (WWF Greece, Hellenic Ornithological Society) for the implementation of nature conservation projects. Endiaitima’s personnel includes field ornithologists, wetland specialists, ecologists, zoologists, foresters and landscape architects, as well as an engineering branch. Endiaitima has already provided consulting in two Life Nature projects in Greece (the previous Agras project and the project “Conservation of Gypaetus barbatus in Greece”, carried out by the Natural History Museum of Crete), as well as to a Life Environment project, entitled “Mediterranean reservoirs and wetlands” being implemented by the Natural History Museum of Crete. |
